International Children's Day
A great day to think… colorful. :-)
Tuck Everlasting
I didn’t know about the book when I start watching Tuck Everlasting. And I also didn’t know that I’m going to have tha the chance to see again with quite a bunch of nice actors (William Hurt, Sissy Spacek, Ben Kingsley and of course Alexis Bledel :P). I like this fairytale movie and I think I’ll also like the book. I’ll search for the book some day. Some people say it’s better. :P
Alone
In an ideal version the car would be blur and the horizontal would be straighter. :P
Death of a rubber glove
Our dear Wilson died today. The tragic end occurred during and attempt to replenish some of his lost air. He will be deeply missed, at least till the next glove will inhabit our lab!
A few of the happy times.
Cute smell
Todays pictures will be dedicated to a delicate snowdrop smell.
Linden
Linden everywhere. I love it of course. :-)
Later update: Some daylight linden.
Emma
With very nice costumes, and I must reckon, amazing hair arrangements, nice casting and and a different king of plot, Emma made my night very enjoyable. :-) And the quote that catch my attention is one that I honestly hope that as many people as possible will have a chance to say it:
Mr. Knightley: Marry me, my wonderful, darling friend.
Ilford
Five black and white Ilford films are patiently waiting to be processed. I’m very curios how they will turn out to be…
Persuation
Claimed by many viewers as being a very accurately and nicely made, Persuation, failed to impress me. Perhaps after I’ll have a chance to read the book I might perceve it differently, but right now, I find the movie a little too confusing in the beginning and the main characters lacking credibility. Ciarán Hinds, the actor who played the Mayor Michael Henchard from The Mayor of Casterbridge,...
The Baltimore Basilica
Last Sunday we went to downtown and toke some pictures. One of the places we briefly stopped was the Baltimore Basilica. A Mass was in progress and we were to shy to venture inside.
Referendum
Spirit civic dat la maxim: ieri am fost la vot! :P
Mansfield Park
I haven’t read the book but I enjoyed this film inspired by Jane Austen’s book. Two lines that catch my attention are the following:
Fanny Price: No man dies of love but on the stage, Mr. Crawford.
Fanny Price: Run mad as often as you chose, but do not faint!
I don’t know why, but Frances O’Connor looks very familiar to me… And so does Alessandro Nivola.
Update:...
Pride and Prejudice
Miss Elizabeth Bennet: I believe we must have some conversation Mr Darcy. A very little will suffice.
In other words, I just watched the first part of the ’95 mini series of Pride and Prejudice and I realized, again, that I’ll always enjoy revisiting this novel of Jane Austen.
Update: I just watched the second part of the mini-series and I have to admit that I’m impressed. No matter...
Four Eyed Monsters
I just watched the Four Eyed Monsters movie. While watching it I like it and hate it and then like it again. :) I didn’t know till then that the story is… real. Some people considered the ending cliché. I actually liked the fact that this movie was more than a movie for the two people that created it. They put in it more than other people do and I really liked that. I think we’ll see more...
Remote Control
The tall structure is Green Building, the tallest building in Cambridge.
